Friday Finds #5

Hey!

I’m dropping in for a quick Friday Finds post.  I know I’ve been scarce on the blog lately  but my darling daughter, Catie, has done an awesome job filling in for me.  Soon, I’ll divulge what I’ve been doing.  Click on the pics below for more details of each find.

In case you missed the beginning of Catie’s Cooking Challenge, we had grilled vegetable sandwiches with homemade pesto mayo.  Delicious!

sandwich 1With the holidays coming and cards to be addressed, Jones Design Company comes to the rescue with “How to Create Fake Calligraphy.” Looks do-able!

If calligraphy is too much for you, Wordmark.it is wonderful.  You can compare what you want to say in all of your fonts at one time in order to choose the right one.   — Genius!  Thanks, Just a Girl for sharing!

I could look at these winning photos from the National Geographic Photo Contest all day.

Friday Finds #1

Hey!

I’m starting a new friday series called Friday Finds.  On fridays, I’m going to share all sorts of things I’ve found around the web.  I hope you enjoy this new feature to the blog.

Fred MacMurray immediately comes to mind when I think of Disney and movie dads.  In this article, Fred MacMurray’s daughter writes about her childhood home and about her famous father.

I laughed so hard when I saw this video!  Girlfriend is just keeping it real about her DramaMine!

Beach Trip #2

Hey!

My last post, I shared pictures of our awesome beach house.  Today, I’m sharing pictures I took while we were shopping and eating in Seaside, Florida.
We found this amazing art glass store.

 Aren’t these chandeliers beautiful?!

This fish wall art installation was wired with light in each fish.  The picture really doesn’t do it justice.

Love these boots!!

Worked up an appetite shopping — Shrimp and grits with sweet potato crunchies on top– Yum!

Just for display, but what a great idea for a project.  I also love the color palette of the shells.
Honey do spotted this canvas.  I really like the multi-layered  dimension and of course, the bling.

What interesting places have you found on vacation?
Blessings,
Mimi
