Wisdom From The Animals: Day 25
Cows chew their food for a long time. When they first take a bite and chew, the food is swallowed and goes into the first section of their stomach, the rumen, where the food becomes the cud. The cud is then sent back up to a cow’s mouth where the cud is chewed again and re-swallowed. Following this second swallow, the food continues its way down the digestive system. A cow’s chewing of the cud is an indicator that the cow is a happy and healthy animal.
“Do not let the Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8
Take some time today to chew, ruminate, and digest God’s Word.
