Wisdom From The Animals: Day 20
Orcas or killer whales are the largest members of the dolphin family. One of the reasons they’re called killer whales is because of the way they hunt. They hunt in groups like wolves and are sometimes called the wolves of the sea. Orcas have no natural predators. This orca was showing off for us in Alaska.
“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.” Proverbs 22:1
Orcas have gotten a bad reputation because of the negative connotations to the word, killer. Sometimes I think people have formed the wrong impression of me. I’m an introvert and sometimes my introverted ways are viewed by others as stand-offish instead of how I really am. I’ve also offended others by being short with my remarks to them when I was stressed. I didn’t mean to be rude or short tempered but that is how I was perceived. Working on my character is important to me. I want to be a person of good and honorable character; a person above reproach. I want to bear the name of Jesus in ways that bring Him praise.
