Wisdom From The Animals: Day 10
The North American river otter loves to play. These animals like to slip and slide in snow and mud, swim, and play chase. Besides being pure fun, these activities teach the necessary hunting and survival skills that an otter needs as well as strengthen their social bonds with one another. Who said learning had to be dull and boring?
Do you remember when you were in school how much you looked forward to recess? Recess was a chance to play and visit with friends. The teachers knew that a little sunshine and outdoor fun meant we would behave better in class. Like the otters, recess also helped improve our social skills with our peers.
“So I commend the enjoyment of life, because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 8:15
Each day should be filled with a bit of fun. Have some this weekend!
