News from the zoo:
My dog ate a pen. Clearly, we’re not feeding her enough and she needed the nutrients only blue ink can offer. Sure, we could lay blame on ourselves for glancing away for a moment, but really? Delta just snuck it past us. She was branded for a few days and had to bear her blue ink shame like Hester and her scarlet A. (Btw, rubbing alcohol lifted most of it out of her fur.)
The small, starving, orange and white long hair tabby that took up residence with us a few months ago has tripled in size. Sydney, the dude, (who was formerly a dudette and then bombshelled us) has come into his manly fullness this week. He discovered he loooves to sleep with his paws firmly wrapped around the TV remotes.
Bella, on the other hand, is disgruntled, displeased, and dismayed by all.
Audrey, my indoor/outdoor, partially deaf, who holds her head sideways since her eardrum busted cat, has taken to literally climbing the door frames. Wish I had a visual for you but darn it, I don’t. Why you might ask? I have no idea but for some odd reason, she has decided its great fun to climb the doorframe of our back door.
Last, but certainly not forgotten is Opie, the velveteen rabbit. He had his very first taste of the wild life. We put him outside in a pet fence. Catie watched the sky for hawks. Opie wasn’t that impressed with real ground. I think he prefers his multi-colored litter. The grass was so plain green.
Delta, Bella, Sydney, Audrey, and Opie wish you a ruff, purrrr, meow, meow, and twitch of a nose day!
