Beach Trip #2

Hey!

My last post, I shared pictures of our awesome beach house.  Today, I’m sharing pictures I took while we were shopping and eating in Seaside, Florida.
We found this amazing art glass store.

 Aren’t these chandeliers beautiful?!

 
This fish wall art installation was wired with light in each fish.  The picture really doesn’t do it justice.

Love these boots!!


Worked up an appetite shopping — Shrimp and grits with sweet potato crunchies on top- Yum!
Just for display, but what a great idea for a project.  I also love the color palette of the shells.
Honey do spotted this canvas.  I really like the multi-layered  dimension and of course, the bling.

Beach Trip and House 2013

Hey!

We stayed at a wonderful beach house this year in Blue Mountain Beach, Florida.  The view was stunning out our back door.  We saw all sorts of marine life this year:dolphins, skates, sand sharks.  But, my personal favorite was the sea turtle.

Blue Mountain is trying to maintain the dunes so the habitat is left to grow.

Come on in and enjoy our beach house 2013! 
I love the gloss on this canvas in the foyer, but what a bugger to take a shot without a reflection!

One of four bedrooms -  Besides the incredible views of the ocean, the other bonus to this property was everybody had their own bedroom and bathroom. 

The house had an open kitchen, dining and living room plan.


I loved the coastal decor.  This artwork would be a great project out of a pallet.
Just looking at the pictures takes me back — I told Honey Do I wanted to stay longer next time! 

After all, you only live once.  YOLO, anyone??

Hey Y’all, I’m Back!

Hey!
In my last post about moving past inconveniences, I thought we were done with them. 
I had fully expected to return to posting after our wonderful trip to the beach.

But the reality is, more stuff got in the way so here I am a month later.   
I had intended to write, read and do all sorts of blogging catch up and that didn’t happen.
A cat with a nasty inner ear infection who ruptured her eardrum and cries all day unless you carry her like a baby, the mandate to repair your roof or else from the insurance company and another car that needed work are some of the things that have happened.  

These times are the seasons you take the good with the bad even when sometimes you slip, fall, bust your lip and generally look all bruised up.
