Without further ado, I present Drawer #31…
Without further ado, I present Drawer #31…
I wiped out the drawer and added a liner. That’s it.
I use several items from this drawer to make hummus so I thought I’d share the recipe.
Enjoy!
Hummus
1/4-1/3 cup of tahini paste
1/4-1/3 cup of lemon juice
1 can of chick peas - rinsed (aka garbanzo beans)
1-2 tsp. of minced garlic
salt to taste
Place in food processor and process until smooth
If you want the texture smoother, try adding olive oil a little at a time and process into the mixture.
I hope you like it!!
Blessings,
Mimi
Clunky kitchen gadgets… that’s mainly what’s in this drawer. A few things were moved over to another drawer like the kitchen twine that you see in the picture. The boxes hold steak knives and a carving set which we received 27 years ago next month as wedding presents.
Did you know that it is traditional to give someone a penny when you give them a knife? Giving someone a knife is considered bad luck and represents severing a relationship, so the giver is supposed to give the recipient a penny to “buy” the knife: changing the bad luck into good luck.
And speaking of weddings….
Both of my children are getting married next year!!!!
I’ve got some fabulous ideas for posts I can’t wait to share with you!
Blessings,
The drawer, in the table at the end of my hallway, has important don’t -want-to-throw-out-but-don’t-know-what-to-do-with stuff. Do you have a drawer like that too? Anything health related that I thought would be handy information got tossed into this drawer. Why it was the hallway drawer??? I don’t know—just was.
Blessings,
Mimi
